Wanderers from Ys (for MSX2) - Beaten with max XP, Gold and all Items and Equipment

What I did in the game: Game beaten with max XP, Gold and all Items and Equipment possible.

The One Picture I have taken: Equipment screen.

Still playing comfort food games, but at least it's not Picross. As I said in a previous post, I need to play every Ys releases/versions on Switch, even the inferior ones. Which is sad because Ys III is one of my favorite game in the series. I'm this kinda of guy: Zelda II >>> Legend of Zelda, and as such Wanderers from Ys >>> Ys I & II. They're all great, but ever since I first played Zelda II, I just fell in love with side-scrolling Action-RPG. And my go to version for Wanderers from Ys (which I will call Ys III from now on) always was the Genesis one. SNES music was atrocious, and the Turbo Grafx-16 CD, even with amazing redbook audio, just had horrible scrolling. Genesis was fast paced, had amazing music close to the PC-88 original release, it was just overall the better Ys III experience. So while I did finally experienced the original PC-88 in all its chopiness not too long ago, I could still endure it because, well it was the original and the music was still so amazing!

So here comes the MSX2 version. I was expecting a good enough experience here, since both Ys I & II ports were really great besides the chipthune music, which was still good enough. But no! What did they do to Ys III ! This is by far the choppiest port I have played of this game so far. The scrolling is nausea inducing, the chipthune music is really not good, but even worst, it restarts at almost every screen changes! So you're stuck always listening to the start of the music again and again and again. And finally, you need to change Disk every time you swap up from town to dungeon. With 3 Data Disk, they could have surely at least found a way to place the town in each of them to avoid swapping all the time, but nope. Beneath all that, there's still a great game, but this is so far the worst version of the game I have played...still glad I completed it, this is Ys III after all.
