What I did in the game: All 100 Skills learned for main character. Party at LV50 (don't know the cap).
The One Picture I have taken: Status Screen of the main character.
A JRPG published by Kemco, and the first game I've seen from the developper Vanguard. On the surface, this RPG is quite basic. The game is really linear with only one optional dungeon in the whole game. There's even no way to go back to previous towns except walking back in the long corridor that is the game. There's also no money, so you need to find all the equipment for your characters through chests or drops. Finally, the battles are pretty barebone. You can't even run from them.
And yet, even with all those negatives points, I've really enjoyed my time through it because of the main mechanic, which is to steal all enemy skills in the game. Think of it as a Blue Mage in Final Fantasy, but instead of learning by getting hit by them, your main character need to use a normal attack, and he will then have a chance to learn the skills. In fact, every attacks from every enemies in the game can be learned, so it became like a collect-a-thon RPG, where you want to get all 100 skills. Getting more skills also give passive bonus with a damage increase to your normal attack, up to 30% when you have all 100.
I also really loved the characters arts and the music. While the game can truly feel empty, I think there's a good base to improve upon here, and I would like to see what Vanguard will create next. As a final note, I stopped my grinding at LV50, since I don't know the cap for this game, and at this point, each level up was taking 1 hour with the possibility of getting longer and longer. With no post-game to tackle, I decided to stop at 50, which is already way above the level you naturally reach at the end of the game.
