First post of 2025, while I'm still working on getting back to 100% in Vampire Survivors and the giant amount of new contents in the Ode to Castlevania DLC. I thought I wouldnt buy much digital games in December of 2024, but turns out that there was A LOT of amazing end of year sales. So here's everything I've got:
-Pampas & Selene (bit-sized Metroidvania with a focus on co-op)
-Astlibra Revision (side-scrolling Action RPG which got some kind of cult following, so I had to check it out)
-9 Years of Shadows (another Metroidvania, this one seems to have amazing pixel art)
-Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (PC-88, not in english, but like Ys, I'm getting all Legend of Heroes games)
-Dungeons and Doomknights (a modern NES game based on AdventureQuest. I was playing a lot of Artix games back then so I was curious)
-Victory Heat Rally (amazing looking racing game emulating the scaler look of the arcade of the '80s, with easy drifting mechanic. It's just pure fun)
-Taito Milestones 3 (great compilation of Taito arcade games which I've talked in another post)
-Ninja 1987 (an hommage to Ninja Gaiden from Seep. Easy but fun)
-JALECOlle Famicom Ver. Saiyuuki World (a big surprise, this was Wonder Boy in Monster Land on Famicom)
-Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony
-Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger's Requiem (Touhou take on Classic Castlevania games. Bought both)
-A Street Cat's Tale 2: Outside is Dangerous (first game was great, so I was just waiting a good sale to get this one)
-Lords of Exile (faux modern NES games, which I always love)
-Deathsmiles I - II (gothic shmup with DKC-like graphics. A classic for some which I never tried in the past)
-Yggdra Union (a Sting classic that I've missed on GBA)
-Ufouria: The Saga 2 (the first game was an hidden gem on NES, was not expecting to see a sequel today)
-JALECOlle Famicom Ver. Pizza Pop! (a basic but fun NES/Famicom game from Jaleco easily beatable in one short sitting)
-Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER (not the biggest fan of 2064, but I loved the pixel art and music so giving this pseudo-sequel a try)
Now, I TRULY wish January 2025 will be easier on my wallet when it comes to digital purchases...
