As usual, Nintendo just released their Year in Review for everything you have played on the Switch for this past year. And as always, I've got crazy high number that I just don't believe. But before that, my top 3 as we can see in the picture above. What a weird top 3. First off, stitch., which I admit, I have been playing daily ever since its release. It's my puzzle games that I'm playing a few minutes when I wake up...but 114 hours in total? It's kinda hilarious!
The weirdest spot is really #2 though. I was in a big Mortal Kombat mood for a few weeks this year, and tried for the first time Mortal Kombat 11, which had a surprisingly good port on Switch. I pretty much 100% everything I could do without devoting my life to the Online Towers. BUT, when I realized that the moment they would shut down the server, I would lose the capacity to play in the crypt or unlock anything else, even if playing offline stuff (since you need to ping their servers to actually unlock any reward), then I decided to just delete the game after having investing so much time in it. What a waste of 92 hours.
And finally Nier Automata. Nothing to say here, this game totally deserves its spot on my top 3. I was REALLY late to the party, but I finally 100% the game this year, and it was a Masterpiece! And once I had done everything possible in the game, it was time to sacrifice my save file, which we can see in this video:
And to conclude, let's show the big numbers! How many games I have played and for how many hours???
Every years, I'm getting those inflated numbers. I can assure you that I have not played half of my entire Switch collection this year. 595 games is a stupid number. But the hours count is what is getting me. 2433 would mean around 6.6 hours every day! Since I have a Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs, that I have to sleep, eat, spend time with my family, even if I would devote EVERY minute of my free time to playing my Switch, it's just physically impossible for me to spend so much time daily on gaming (even if I would love to). Somewhere in there must be hours in sleep mode, because I never turn off my Switch.
